Forming and connection of GB elbow
The GB elbow forming process is a process in which the billet on the mould moves forward under the push of the elbow machine, and is heated, expanded and bent in the process of movement. The deformation characteristic of hot push elbow is that the diameter of tube billet is determined according to the law that the volume of metal material remains unchanged before and after plastic deformation.
The diameter of the tube billet is smaller than that of the elbow, and the deformation process of the billet is controlled by the core mold, so that the compressed metal flow in the inner arc is compensated to other parts which are thinned due to the diameter expansion, so as to obtain the national standard elbow with uniform wall thickness.
GB elbow is a pipe fitting to change the direction of the pipeline.According to the Angle, there are 45° and 90°180° three commonly used, and according to the engineering needs, there are also 60° and other abnormal Angle elbows.Elbow materials include cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, malleable iron, carbon steel, nonferrous metal and plastic, etc.
Pipe connection methods are: direct welding (commonly used) flange connection, hot melt connection, electric fusion connection, threaded connection and socket type connection.GB elbow can be divided into welding elbow, stamping elbow, push elbow, casting elbow, butt welding elbow, etc.Other names: 90 degree bend, right Angle bend. These are the GB elbow directly changed from the Angle.
