What is a seamless bend?

Seamless elbow is a common pipe connector, which can realize the bending and direction change of the pipe. The manufacturing process of seamless elbow mainly has two kinds of hot extrusion and hot bending. Hot bending is by heating the steel pipe to a certain temperature, bending in the pipe bending machine, so that it presents the required bending Angle and radius.

The main materials of seamless elbow are carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and so on. Carbon steel elbows are suitable for general industrial piping systems, with good mechanical properties and low cost. Alloy steel elbow can work under high temperature and high pressure conditions, often used in chemical industry, petroleum and other fields. Stainless steel elbow has good corrosion resistance, suitable for food, medicine and other places requiring high hygiene standards.

The specifications of the seamless elbow include the bending Angle and bending radius of the elbow. The bending Angle of the elbow is generally 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 180 degrees, etc., and can also be customized according to actual needs. Bending radius refers to the curve radius of the elbow, and its size has a certain influence on the fluid transmission performance of the pipeline. In general, the larger the bending radius, the less the effect on the fluid, but the space occupied will also increase accordingly.
