Calculation method of carbon steel elbow geometry  

According to the carbon steel elbow fittings ordered by customers, our company calculates the radius of curvature of carbon steel elbow fittings by using the calculation method of geometric size.  Curvature radius is required for the control of carbon steel elbow fittings.  Such as the length of the radius of 1.5 D, then the radius of curvature must be within the tolerance range of required, because most of these pipe fittings are used for welding, in order to improve the welding quality, end groove and with an Angle without a certain edge, this one is more strict, edge, after more than Angle deviation range has a regulation, for how much and a lot more than pipe item geometry size.  The surface quality and mechanical properties of carbon steel elbow are basically the same as that of the pipe. The carbon steel elbow fittings made by our company are mainly used to change the direction of the pipe by connecting the bend of the pipe.  

The calculation of the geometric size of the carbon steel elbow pipe fitting is as follows: 1.5 times the center height of the elbow A= diameter *1.524, in fact, is diameter D* multiple, the number after the decimal point of the result is rounded to an integer, such as the diameter D of 219 is 200, the center height is 200*1.524=304.8, take 305;  If the diameter of 114 is 100, the center height is 100*1.524=15.4, take 152.  Suitable for DN100 and above elbow curvature radius algorithm convenient and quick calculation).  Stamp height = center height + elbow radius, such as 1.5 times diameter 219 elbow stamp height =305+219/2=305+109.5=414.5  

Outer arc length =(center height + radius)*3.14*2/360* degree, that is, (stamp height)*3.14*2/360* degree, so it can be calculated that the outer arc length of 90 degree elbow = stamp height *3.14/2  

Inner arc length =(center height - radius)*3.14*2/360* degree  

The blanking length of the elbow = center height of the elbow *3.14/2* outer diameter of the elbow/pipe diameter +(pipe wall thickness *3)+ processing allowance, such as 180*8 pipe blanking, push 273 elbow, using the above formula can be calculated, blanking length =381*1.57*273/180+24=931.22mm+ processing allowance.
